Giving FAQs

  • Donating is easy and impactful! You have two options:

    • Through the Warren County Foundation:
Make your check payable to Warren County Foundation with Bright Acres Workforce Readiness Grant in the memo line. You can mail or hand-deliver it to:
      Warren County Foundation
      118 E. Main Street
      Lebanon, OH 45036

    • Through Bright Acres Learning Academy:
Prefer to give directly? Make your check payable to Bright Acres Learning Academy with Workforce Grant in the memo. We’ll ensure it’s deposited directly into the grant fund with the Foundation.

  • 100% of your donation goes directly to supporting graduating seniors from the Warren County Career Center. Funds are used to cover the cost of tools, uniforms, certifications, and other job-related essentials that students need to begin their careers with confidence.

  • Yes! Donations made through the Warren County Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. After your donation is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation and receipt for your records.

  • The Bright Acres Workforce Readiness Grant is awarded to graduating seniors from the Warren County Career Center who are entering the workforce directly after graduation. Recipients are selected based on need, readiness, and alignment with the grant’s mission to support career-bound students.

  • At this time, donations are accepted as one-time gifts. However, if you're interested in supporting the grant annually or setting up a recurring contribution, please contact us—we’d love to work with you to make it easy and meaningful.

  • Because the journey to a meaningful career begins with a strong foundation. For many graduating seniors, the only thing standing between them and a job is the cost of getting started—whether it’s steel-toe boots, a certification exam, or the right set of tools.

The Bright Acres Workforce Readiness Grant exists to bridge that gap. It’s a hand up, not a handout—and for students who are ready to work, it’s the boost they need to step into their future with confidence.

  • Because your gift creates opportunity where it’s needed most. By supporting this grant, you’re helping hardworking students take the final step from classroom to career.

This fund honors the memory of Micheal Ballard by empowering others to move forward with strength, purpose, and pride.

When you give, you're not just donating—you’re investing in someone's first chance, their future, and their dignity.
